About

Simple. Inexpensive. Fun.

Teaching kids without them knowing it.

compelledbymel is a blog used to provide fun activities, books recommendations, crafts, and snacks for kids. Most activities here are geared toward educating your child while they play. It instills in them a passion for learning that hopefully continues to grow as they do. I believe kids should have fun while they learn. Simple as that. Some posts will talk about Jesus too because He’s pretty important to me.

Dictionary definition of compelled: To force, drive, or constrain.

Footnote: I used the word compelled without really looking up the actual dictionary meaning. My intention with the name was to gently lead people to use activities to spend time with and teach their kids. Not to shove it down their throat. Also I wanted a word to rhythm with Mel.

  1. Thanks for the visit to my blog! I love the theme of your blog and I totally agree! My kids are teenagers now but they learned so much through playing board games, special activities and projects that we did when they were little. I always encouraged them to have ideas and I tried to help them see the ideas through.
